35 Reportability

Brief Summary

Contempt of Court — Application for leave to appeal — Applicant found in contempt for failing to comply with court order regarding maintenance payments — Application for leave to appeal dismissed — No reasonable prospects of success on appeal. The applicant, Reginald William Lynton Rabie, was found guilty of contempt of court for disregarding a court order from December 2007, which required him to make certain payments to his ex-wife, Eloise Wilson Rabie, related to the sale of a property and maintenance obligations. The legal issue was whether the applicant had reasonable prospects of success in appealing the contempt ruling. The court held that there were no reasonable prospects of success on appeal, and consequently, the application for leave to appeal was dismissed with costs.

VELDHUIZEN,

;
betaal, by te bring.
Vandag is daar voor my
afdeling. Ek het weereens die feie oorweeg
in hierdie aangeleentheid
nie. Ek meen nie dat ander hof
redelikerwys tot Vi ander
gevolgtrekking sal kom nie.
